The LD 13 facing head constitiutes a single mounting unit that can be easily and quickly mounted on the WHN/WHQ 13 CNC machine quill face flange.
It has been designed to perform face turning, outer or inner turning of large diameter flanges, machining of large centering holes and large hole boring.
Sliding of the device is driven by a separate inside the body built electric motor (180W). The feed range is divided into 5 mechanical gear-steps changed manually. The drive mechanism is overload protected by a ball-clutch. In order for the device to be safe in operation the maximum RPM's are limited to 125. Operation of the machine is disabled if the speed setting is attempted any higher. The slide can also be moved by hand; by means of a crank, and can be clamped at any desired position.
